Gut and Psychology Syndrome
In her book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome, Dr. Natasha Campbell reveals the profound connection between the condition of our gut and our overall well being. This book has become one of my health bible’s. It has opened up to me a whole new way of thought about how to achieve ideal health. The basis of the book states that your body’s immune system primarily lives within your gut.
Remember the GAPS diet is not necessarily designed for people dealing with major candida symptoms. However, it is tailored to heal the gut which is the ultimate goal concerning any health issue. In theory, if you are focused on healing your gut, the candida will just step into line with the rest of the intestinal flora. In my case the candida symptoms were so unbearable and severe I had to go to extremes with my diet and not allow for any sugar or food that would turn to sugar to bring relief as quickly as possible.
The Body Ecology Diet
Donna Gates thouroughly walks us through an extensive protocol to help those who suffer from candida albicans in her book The Body Ecology. She touches on the subjects of what to eat and what not to eat, pairing the right foods together for optimum digestion, using the 80/20 rule, probiotic nutrition, eating for your blood type and much more.

In this popular and comprehensive book, nutrition researcher and founder of the Weston A. Price Foundation Sally Fallon recalls the culinary customs of our ancestors and looks ahead to a future of robust good health for young and old.
Nutrition and Physical Degeneration
Dr. Weston Price lived in a time when some people attributed the cause of tooth decay to the mixing of races! In his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, Dr. Price disproves this myth. He gives an account of his extensive research of some isolated and non-modernized tribes and how their animal-fat rich diet had a direct correlation with their exceptional dental health as well as with the prevention of other degenerative diseases. He shows the decline in the health of these tribes when a more “western diet” is introduced. This book is very informative and fascinating! It’s one of the best examples I think in revealing the incredible benefits of healthy fats being a prominent source of nutrition in our diet as well as the benefits of excluding the foods that accelerate degeneration.
