The other day, I set out to prepare some emails for the launch of my new song, Rhythmic Earth. In the process, one email, intended only for those who had pre-saved the song, accidentally went out to everyone. This left me feeling a bit embarrassed and deflated.

I hadn’t reached out to my email list in a while, and it felt insincere for the first email they received from me to be confusing and irrelevant. It was like walking up to a long-lost friend and demanding, “Hey, read this and download my song right now!” without any proper reintroduction or connection.

I felt discouraged by this mishap. But as always, something beautiful emerged from the experience that I’d like to share with you.

This past season of my life has been about trusting divine order and flowing with God above all else. While I’ve always sought guidance from God/Spirit/Universe (or whatever term you prefer), this new phase feels like a deeper level of trust. I realized through this premature email that it was a nudge from Spirit, saying,

“I want to do this differently than how you’ve planned.”

I recognized this nudge more easily because of a similar message I received a few days earlier.

In the online music world, musicians can submit their work to bloggers, Spotify playlist managers, and social media influencers, hoping for a feature that can boost their reach. I submitted my song to four different people, and all of them rejected it. That stung a bit, but amidst the rejection, I heard God say, “I’m going to do this differently.”

For years, I’ve worked on balancing between following online industry norms for success and listening to my intuition and flowing with God. I’ve always leaned more towards following the flow, but there’s also been a voice saying, “You should be doing this, and this, and this…”

It all has felt so tiresome at times. Everything in our world tells us to do the “smart” thing. Be wise, they say. Work hard at your job, put your nose to the grindstone. As we try to decipher what is God’s will and what isn’t, we often start ignoring our gut intuition and simply do the “smart” thing. Yet, God’s ways are often unconventional. They require a level of trust and intuition that can feel extremely uncomfortable, like stepping off a cliff into a dense fog with no visible bottom. But as soon as you take that step, a solid path appears beneath your feet, leading to a beautiful landscape beyond anything you could have imagined. This is my experience with God. Father Mother God not only meets expectations but exceeds them every single time.

Lately, I feel the need to go all in with God on this one, and truly, in every aspect of my life. Whether my music reaches 2 people or 20,000, I have to trust this gut feeling. I have to step off that cliff.

As I view the mistakes through the lens of God’s divine order I can see the gifts. It now feels serendipitous that my song was sent out to all of the wonderful people on my email list ‘prematurely’ and for free. This reflects my true heart and intentions. It reminds me that what God is doing is completely free. God’s love, grace, and peace are available here and now for everyone. I know that Divine Spirit wants to bless me, but this mission is not about what I can gain. It’s about releasing what wants to come through when it’s time and answering the call no matter what that looks like.

I’ve learned that blessings come naturally as we surrender to the divine plan. A friend recently reminded my husband and me that our jobs, music, friends, and opportunities are not our Source. God is. As I walk this path of total surrender, I begin to see the miraculous emerge. I can feel it in my bones.

This all reminds me of the beautiful words of Jesus in Matthew 6:26-27:

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

I’m ready (and a little scared) to live in complete surrender and trust, especially when God’s way sometimes doesn’t seem to make any logical sense. Yet, I want to experience the miraculous power and Love of All That Is. One thing I know for sure: there are no mistakes with God. Every single experience is being used to guide us back home to Truth, Love, Peace, and the path predestined from the beginning.

This is true for me and I know it’s true for you as well!

I’d love to hear your stories. When have you stepped out on a limb and witnessed miraculous things happen? What are your concerns? Share them with me, and I’d be honored to include your name in my prayer and meditation time. We’re all in this together. We’re all Spirit, and there’s so much available for us here and now.

Love,

Sharla
